363-0 -St. George - Six bookmarks

This design, done by a sister, is an iconographic drawing of St. George, the Great Martyr. A third century Palestinian, he was venerated from very early times as a Christian warrior who destroyed the wiles of the devil, depicted as a dragon.

The reverse of this design reads: "Great Martyr George, armed with the shield of faith, the helmet of grace and the weapon of the Cross, you overcame invincible enemies! As you stand before God, great champion, pray that we may be sanctified and saved!"
